SlabTek was awarded 7 of our 12 patents in 2011 and quickly began to revolutionize the way foundations are built. SlabTek continues to develop new ways to develop intellectual property and now has 12 patents bringing new solutions to the construction industry.

Today, SlabTek is used in both Residential and Commercial developments and are rapidly becoming the preferred choice for clients who need their projects completed on time and on a budget.

2004
Research and development begins

Tony Childress and Mike Kelly Started Researching a Concept Involving Elevating Slab On Grade Foundations To Mitigate Soil Effects on The Foundation.

2005
The Beginning Of Slabtek

Slabtek was founded and began as a patented foundation system for residential and commercial structures.

SlabTek Starts Doing Business in the United States

After receiving our patents, we began the process of installing SlabTek mechanisms in our first customers homes with much success.

2011
United States Patents Issued

7 of our 12 patents were Issued on the design and methodology that we developed to elevate slabs.

2015
Investors Take Us International

A group of investors believe in the SlabTek System and decide to buy into the company in order to help grow and start working all around the globe. At this time SlabTek was rebranded into Tella Firma, meaning "Strong Home" in Latin.

Tella Firma Rapidly Grows

Tella Firma experienced rapid growth and success and eventually got into industries we never expected we would. Tella Firma eventually grew into now offering Helical sales and installation, pile driving and solar farms.

2024
Tella Firma Partial Sale

After going international and becoming involved in the Solar, Pile Driving and Helical industries, we gained attention from a lot of international companies wanting to do work in the United States. An opportunity arose where a Portugese company wanted to buy the portion of Tella Firma that dealt with Helical, Solar and Pile driving in order to start doing business in the United States. The patents then were sold separately back to the original founder and inventor, Tony Childress. The name Tella Firma was included in the sale and therefore we went back to our original name, SlabTek.

We are back to our roots. The original Inventor and Founder, Tony Childress, is now the sole owner and wants to go back to where we all started. As a company focused on nothing more than creating the best and most advanced technology to improve structural foundations for buildings and our clients.

Tony Childress is the founder and owner of SlabTek and the Childress Companies. Through his 30+ years of experience he has overseen the construction of hundreds of thousands of structures through his practices.

Sean Lyden
LEAD SALES & LOGISTICS

Sean Lyden is responsible for the coordination, ordering and delivery of SlabTek Mechanisms to our many clients. He oversees the completion of thousands of projects each year and ensures that your experience with SlabTek is worry free.
